Uranium industry meets Chief Minister
The Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Uranium Association, Michael Angwin, and a number of
senior executives of uranium companies active in the Northern Territory, will today meet the Chief
Minister of the NT, Mr Paul Henderson, to discuss the future of the uranium industry in the Territory.
The meeting follows Mr Henderson’s announcement during the Araluen by-election campaign that
his Government would not support any mining proposal that resulted from the current exploration
program at Angela Pamela, near Alice Springs.
Mr Angwin and his colleagues are scheduled to meet Mr Henderson at his Parliament House office at
4 pm and will be available for media interview after the meeting.
