Vic jobs boom in recycling on offer if the price is right
A $900 million jobs and economic boom is on offer in the recycling industry if the Victorian
government sends a price signal making recycling rather than landfill more attractive, a forum in
Melbourne tomorrow will be told.
Participants at the National Recycling Initiative Forum, involving some of Australias largest
recycling companies and environment groups, will also learn that Victoria has lost its position as
a leading recycling state.
