Update on Southern Highlands gas supply
interruption
For immediate release:
Jemena is expecting that gas supply to 9,000 customers in the greater Bowral and greater
Mirttagong areas will be restored by Sunday afternoon.
Relights of the 5,000 homes and businesses in the greater Bowral area will start on Friday
afternoon and run though until Saturday.
Relights for the 4,000 homes and business in the greater Mittagong area will start on
Saturday afternoon and run through until Sunday.
Because Jemena has to relight customers individually, it will take up to three days before all
affected customers are back on supply.
Jemena is liaising with NSW Ambulance, hospitals and aged care facilities to ensure that,
where possible, priority is given to those customers most at risk. Jemena will advise those
customers when supply is safely restored. Jemena continues to work closely with Industry
and Investment NSW and the SES to help ensure safe supply is available to customers as
soon as possible.

doing everything possible to restore their gas supply as soon as possible.
