Make a difference at RMIT’s Open Day


Did you know that RMIT University is one of Australia’s first fair-trade universities?

Did you know that RMIT has links with industry in ‘green careers’? Did you know

that RMIT runs a range of programs at various levels of study focussing on issues

of environment, sustainability and social responsibility?


If you want to find out more, come along to RMIT’s Open Day on Sunday 9 August

from 10 am to 4 pm. You will be able to attend information sessions and see

displays about how to ‘Make a Difference’ with your study, career and lifestyle

choices.


Information sessions at Kaleide Theatre on Open Day include:


10 am – ‘Watch it DVD’ – a selection of short film features about fair-trade

from the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand (FTAANZ)


10.30 am – Bachelor of Social Science (Environment)


11 am – Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning)


12 pm – ‘Remaking Suburbia: Retrofitting Australian Housing for

Sustainability’ by Associate Professor Ralph Horne, Director, RMIT Centre

for Design


1 pm – ‘Bachelor of Social Science (Environment)


1.30 pm – ‘Bachelor of Applied Science (Planning)


2 pm – ‘Global Sustainability at RMIT University’ by Caroline Bayliss,

Director, RMIT Global Sustainability


3 pm – Bachelor of Environmental Science / Bachelor of Engineering

(Environmental Engineering)
