Fulbright Fellow offers communication strategies


Fulbright Fellow, Professor Sam Ham, will be visiting RMIT University Hamilton on

Friday, 29 October, to offer communication strategies for local leaders to assist

them in spreading the word on likely impacts of climate change.


Professor Ham directs the Center for International Training and Outreach at the

University of Idaho’s College of Natural Resources, where he is also a Professor in

the Department of Resource Recreation and Tourism.   


He is the author of many publications, including Environmental Interpretation: A

Practical Guide for People with Big Ideas and Small Budgets, and has received

many awards, including an appointment in1992 to the World Conservation Union

Commission on Education and Communication.


He will lead a workshop, “Communicating about Climate Change Adaptation: A

Workshop Process”, supported by Professor John Martin of La Trobe University

Bendigo along with staff from RMIT Hamilton. 


The free workshop will run from 10am to 2pm and includes a light lunch. To RSVP
