Find out about sustainable careers
If you are interested in the environment and sustainability, and would like to plan
for a green career, come along to RMIT Universitys Open Day on Sunday, 8
August, from 10am to 4pm.
At RMITs Sustainability Hub you can find out about a range of programs that focus
on the environment and sustainability from conservation and land management,
to environmental engineering and environmental science.
You can also check out the Environmental Project in Vietnam, where each year
RMIT students from planning, science and engineering are given the opportunity to
be part of a consultancy that travels to Vietnam to tackle an environmental issue.
The project addresses real world issues, environmental education and teamwork in
one unique, life-changing experience. Students walk away with an international
project under their belt and confidence in project development, management and
reporting.
As well as offering programs that focus on the environment and sustainability,
RMIT is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and providing a safe and green
university.
RMIT is one of Australias first fair-trade universities and has close and diverse
links with green careers in industry.
RMIT is fostering a think green culture within the University community and
beyond. It encourages staff, students and the general public to make changes in
their day-to-day lives, both at work and at home, to minimise their impact on the
environment.
Find out more on Open Day, Sunday, 8 August, 10am to 4pm, at RMITs
Sustainability Hub at Kaleide Theatre, which is at RMIT Building 8, Level 2, 360
Swanston Street, Melbourne (enter near the Commonwealth Bank).
