CITIES PLAN JUGGERNAUT ON CLIMATE CHANGE
Australia’s lord mayors are joining forces to help combat climate change – the
biggest threat to the future prosperity and liveability of major cities.
They are embarking on a targeted program of initiatives to lower the nation’s carbon
footprint by 2020.
WHAT:
The leaders of Australia’s capital cities, guided by new research on
reducing greenhouse gas emissions, are meeting in Sydney to
pledge their support for action and seeking Federal Government
partnerships.
