MEDIA INVITATION

Australia's most fuel efficient car

completes Global Green Challenge

THE most fuel efficient car in Australia, the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, will complete the final leg

of the Global Green Challenge on Friday, October 30, arriving into Victoria Square in

Adelaide at approximately 2pm.

With an official fuel economy rating of only 3.7L/100km, the fuel efficiency of Fiesta

ECOnetic surpasses all other vehicles currently on sale in Australia, including petrol/electric

hybrid models.

It also produces fewer CO2 emissions than any other conventional, internal combustion

engine vehicle, with an official CO2 emission rating of 98 grams per kilometre – making it

only the second vehicle in Australia to achieve CO2

emissions under 100g/km and the only

non-hybrid vehicle to attain such an ultra-low CO2 standard.

During the 3000km Global Green Challenge from Darwin to Adelaide, the Fiesta

ECOnetic has cemented its position as Australia's fuel economy leader, achieving

figures as low as 2.9L/100km during the longest leg of the event.

Media are invited to attend the finale of the Global Green Challenge at Victoria Square in

Adelaide as the Fiesta arrives at approximately 2pm. The final official results of the

Challenge will be available later that day.

Interviews will be available with Peter McKay (Motoring expert and Fiesta ECOnetic co-driver

in the Challenge), and Ford Australia Global Green Challenge Team Manager Justin Lacy.
