AECOM signs on to the Australian Governments Green Loans
program
AECOM, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for
government and commercial clients around the world, announced today that it has won a contract
to provide audit services to the Australian Governments $175M Green Loan Program.
The Green Loan Program offers householders a free home sustainability assessment that provides
advice on actions householders can take to improve energy and water efficiency and reduce
greenhouse gas emissions.
AECOM will conduct a total of 12,600 audits, ranging from simple desktop analysis to site-based
household and company audits. These audit services will contribute to the Australian Governments
confidence in the investment it has made in the sustainability of Australian households.
AECOMs Technical Director Sustainability and Climate Change, Scott Losee, said this contract
win underlined AECOMs commitment to and capability in the area of sustainability. We are very
excited to be involved in the Australian Governments Green Loans program, said Mr Losee.
This program allows us to continue to deliver on AECOMs purpose, to enhance and sustain the
world's built, natural, and social environments. This partnership with the Australian Government
underlines our commitment to this mission and allows us to be a part of making a real difference in
combating climate change in Australia.
So far, the Green Loans program has seen over 250,000 assessments completed, and there are
4,000 assessors registered with the Australian Government. This contract will run until March 2011,
with an option for a two-year extension.
