NSW Coastal Conference

at 10.00am – with key presenters available for interview then.

Conference Opening – Mr Simon Smith, Deputy Director General, NSW Department of
Environment, Climate Change and Water. (DECCW is the major sponsor of this
conference)
Welcome by Host Council – Cr Phillip Silver, Mayor, Ballina Shire Council
Overview: The 3-day annual conference will bring together over 250 participants from
throughout NSW and other states to explore current coastal issues on integrated
management for change; coastal processes / hazards; coastal ecosystems; innovations
and community engagement.
