Thiess Services secures $380m Alliance Program for
South East Water Capital Works
Thiess Services, in conjunction with its us Utility Services Alliance partners, has secured a Capital
Works Delivery Program for South East Water, worth $380 million over the next four years.
South East Water is a government-owned entity providing water
and sewerage services to over 1.3
million customers in the south-east of Melbourne.
The new alliance program involves the overall management of capital works projects, including
upgrades to water supply and sewerage networks.
The us- Utility Service Alliance, which includes Thiess Services, Siemens and South East Water, has
provided preventative maintenance, breakdown services, customer connections and parts of the
capital works program for South East Water since 2005.
Thiess Services Executive General Manager Michael Wright said the expanded program of works is
a testament to the quality of service delivery, innovation and depth of expertise of the us
Utility
Services Alliance, and provides further opportunities to assist South East Water optimise the value
and service it delivers to its customers.
Thiess Services has a long term relationship with South East Water, which commenced in 1994 with
the original contract for network maintenance. In 2004, following 10 years of continuing innovations,
Thiess Services, in cooperation with Siemens, competitively bid for an alliance with South East Water
that resulted in the formation of the us Utility Services Alliance.
