RSPCA Superheroes Ball promises a night of capes, canaps and capers in aid of the Inspectors.

Each year, the RSPCA holds a gala event designed to raise funds for a special project or program. This year, the spotlight blazes on the charity's very own Superheroes, the 32 RSPCA Inspectors around the state who face cruelty and defend animals every day. As a non-government charity, nights like this one are vastly important to raise much needed funds to keep our Inspectors on the road.

This year's ball is in honour of our Inspectors and profits on the night will go toward the purchase of an Emergency Response Vehicle to assist Inspectors to respond to natural disasters and animal rescues like the dramatic cave rescue of Scooby quickly and with the right equipment.

The RSPCA Superheroes Ball promises to be a fantastic night! We have a cavalcade of interactive, superhero- themed games running on the night:

* Holy Riddler Batman! Brave the bat cave and use your telepathic powers to find a prize

* Claim your turf on the Nintendo Wii Battle Ground. Reveal your special powers and defeat your nemesis

* Transform into a supersized Superman or Batman and wrestle it out for the Super Sumo Champion title!

* Take on the Silent Auction and The Noble Toyota Tree of Destiny Raffle in the garden of Good & Evil

* Bat Watsui on the dance floor to live music and entertainment

...plus so much more, including the chance to win a car, scooter, holidays and other awesome prizes!

Come dressed as your favour superhero (or if you prefer to keep your identity a secret, dress in civilian black tie!) and mingle with animal-friendly celebrities and superheroes.

Despite all the fun, there is a serious cause behind this event. We are hoping to raise $60,000 on the night to purchase an Emergency Response Vehicle for our inspectors. You might have seen the Scooby rescue on the news or on RSPCA Animal Rescue? Our Inspectors worked for five days straight and had to call in favours from the fire brigade, mine safety experts and commercial drillers to assist in this operation. In that same week, other inspectors attended nine other rescues. An Emergency Response Vehicle would have made the operations a lot easier, safer and more comfortable for the Inspectors.

Please help us help our very own Superheroes and have some fun doing it. The event is open to everyone not just our dedicated supporters so bring a friend or find a friend on the night!

Tickets are $150 which includes all drinks, food and live entertainment. And remember to bring a pocket full of change to play our interactive games and bid on our silent auctions.
