MINISTER AND STUDENTS IN SUSTAINABILITY QUIZ SHOWDOWN
The Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Gavin Jennings, is teaming up with
resource smart students in a quiz showdown to test their knowledge of sustainability and to
announce winners at the 2009 ResourceSmart School Awards.
Mr Jennings’ team of four students from Mildura West Primary School and Mill Park Secondary
College will go head to head with a team of students from Manchester Primary School and
Melbourne Girls College to answer crafty questions about being resource smart.
Sustainability Victoria CEO, Anita Roper, will lead the opposing team.
More than 300 children from 29 schools will gather at Federation Square to celebrate their
achievements in becoming sustainable through responsible management of water, waste,
energy and biodiversity resources.
