Green Project makes green home improvements easy

For the first time, more than 70,000 Brisbane homeowners will have access to the national Green Project, Enact Energy’s free and

reliable home energy efficiency program that improves the comfort of the home while saving money, energy, and greenhouse gas.

Mr Danny Morgan, Managing Director of Enact Energy’s Australian operation said, “Brisbane residents can now take advantage

of thousands of dollars in government rebates and incentives through one simple hassle-free and quality assured program.

“This unique program takes the worry out of finding

a provider for your home energy efficiency choices.  The Green Project

brings it all together; ensuring that the right products, available under various government rebate schemes, are installed to a high

standard.”

“The service

includes

a free information

and advice line, free home energy audits, free insulation, heavily subsidised solar hot

water systems and heat pumps, and hassle-free support with government paperwork.

“We also conduct random follow-up inspections and provide quality assurance on all our installations.

Mr Morgan said, “The Green Project can arrange everything and

Brisbane

householders can be confident that we have quality

assured products readily available, that products are supplied

by recognised Australian manufacturers, and are fitted by expert

local installers.”

The ABS 2008 found that Queenslanders want a more comfortable lifestyle with installations of air-conditioning or evaporative

cooling systems more than doubling between 1994 (32%) and 2008  (67%).

Mr Morgan said, “In addition to the State Government’s drive for more energy efficient air-conditioners, the Green Project now

gives Brisbane’s residents

another opportunity to make their homes even more comfortable while

helping

to curb the state’s

growing use of air conditioners during summer.”

The first Brisbane residents to have access to the program should have received the Green Project’s information in the mail. This

includes residents living in:

East Brisbane 4169, Enoggera 4051, Camp Hill, Carina (Mansfield DC), Carina Heights, Carindale 4152,  Manly, Manly

West 4179, Mt Gravatt, Mt Gravatt East, Upper Mt Gravatt, 4122, Nundah 4012, Robertson, Sunnybank, Sunnybank Hills
