RSPCA Introduces New Low Maintenance Dog Breed to Sydney Public

On the morning of Monday 3 May, a unique dog breed will appear on the streets of Sydney's CBD. Endorsed by RSPCA NSW, the 'Invisimutt' is perfect for people who would love a dog to walk but don't have the space, time or money to care for one. This new dog breed requires no grooming, feeding or veterinary check-ups. It only needs to be exercised one day a year, Sunday 16 May which conveniently coincides with the RSPCA Million Paws Walk.

This Monday, 100 Invisimutts will be pounding the pavements of Sydney promoting the Million Paws Walk. They will be lead by media personality Mike Goldman the proud owner of an Invisimutt.

"The Invisimutt is the perfect pet for people who want to attend the Million Paws Walk but don't have a real dog to bring along," said Mike. "After the walk, I'll be entering Rex, my Invisimutt, into the best dressed competition the invisible body poses a problem though."

Mike, Ashley Cheadle, Luke Cheadle (Cleo editor's pick - Cleo Bachelor of the Year 2010), Lizzy Lovette and a group of RSPCA Supporters and their 'dogs' will be walking through the CBD from George Street to Hyde Park from 7.30am. Invisimutts will also be for sale at this year's Sydney Million Paws Walk. All dogs have been desexed, wormed and vaccinated by invisible vets.

"I am always happy to support the RSPCA," said Mike. "Last year's Million Paws Walk was a huge success and I'm looking forward to assisting this with this unique event on Monday 3 May."

Date: Monday 3 May 2010
Time: Meet at 7.15am. Walk from 7.30am to 8.00am
Where: Southern end of QVB (at fountain). Then walking from the QVB, weaving through the city and finishing at Hyde Park.
Why: On Sunday 16 May, thousands of RSPCA supporters and their pets will be walking for a cause. This year with over 70 RSPCA Million Paws Walk locations Australia-wide, the RSPCA is hoping it will be the biggest and best year yet! More information can be found at www.millionpawswalk.com.au
