Rivers Reap Rewards of Rain

What: Melbourne's rivers and creeks are enjoying the best breeding conditions for five years after the recent rain. Platypus, native fish and frog populations are expected to increase on the back of the highest spring flows since 2004.

Melbourne Water's General Manager of Waterways, Chris Chesterfield, will be talking about how animals such as platypus and native fish are expected to flourish on the back of the high flows.

One of Healesville Sanctuary's platypus keepers will have Ember the Platypus to present to media.
