Goulburn Man to be Sentenced for Multiple Animal Cruelty Charges

Andrew Cochrane of Yass will be sentenced in Goulburn Local Court tomorrow, 26 August, on two separate matters relating to multiple animal cruelty charges.

In the first matter Cochrane, 70, is charged with one count of aggravated animal cruelty and three counts of failing to provide veterinary treatment. All charges relate to a number of sheep in his care.

In the second matter he is charged with aggravated animal cruelty relating to
a bull.

Cochrane has a long history of animal cruelty with RSPCA NSW Inspectors first dealing with him in 2003.

The Sentencing will begin at 9.30am tomorrow, 26 August 2009.
