“This morning I received a call from Dame Edna to tell me that she, and her son
little Kenny, have descended upon Hobart to meet the minister at the Federal Cabinet
community meeting this afternoon.
“She said she has developed a burning and spooky interest in certain nooks and
crannies of one of his export policies – live export- and she is simply dying to have a
little parley about it. She will offer him a symbolic red gladioli and a ticket on the 'Stella
Daneb" ship to accompany our sheep on their way to the Middle East to be sacrificed for
the 'Eid'.”
