MEDIA RELEASE
16 August is International Homeless Animals Day!
Bulldogs Rugby League players will tour Sydneys RSPCA Yagoona
Sheltertoday, 13 August, in the lead up to International Homeless Animals
Day.
Each year tens of thousands of animals are left homeless in NSW. And over
40,000 animals are cared for by RSPCA NSW.
Bulldogs prop and RSPCA NSW Ambassador Jarrad Hickey says the tour will
be aimed at raising awareness of the often forgotten animals.
Touring the RSPCA Shelters and seeing all the animals that are waiting for a
new home is very confronting, says Hickey.
International Homeless Animals Day should remind everyone who is
considering a pet, to make the RSPCA their first stop.
Media are invited to join in the tour of the Yagoona Shelter. Photo
opportunities will be available during the tour.
